The Closing Ceremony of “Strengthening the Audit Capacity of the Audit Authority” Project

The closing ceremony of the Project “Strengthening the Audit Capacity of the Audit Authority” within the scope of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) was held in Ankara on 14 July 2023.

Director General of Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation of the Directorate for EU Affairs, Mr Bülent ÖZCAN, made a closing speech at the event, whose participators also includes representatives from the EU Delegation, Croatian Embassy and our public institutions involved in the IPA processes. The event was completed with presentations describing the activities carried out within the scope of the project by the partner institutions which are the Treasury Controllers Board of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, which acts as the Audit Authority, and the Croatian Agency for Audit of European Union Programmes Implementation System (ARPA).

With the project, studies were carried out to provide assurance regarding the proper and effective use of IPA funds, to contribute to the accountability and effective functioning of the management and control systems of IPA structures, and to increase the effectiveness and efficiency in the audit activities of the Audit Authority.
