Financing Agreement for the 2023 Annual Action Programme for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) for Türkiye Enters into Force
The “Financing Agreement on the Annual Action Programme for Türkiye for the Year 2023” signed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs, H.E. Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay, on behalf of our country, and by the Director of the Southern Neighborhood and Türkiye, Francisco Joaquin Gaztelu Mezquiriz, on behalf of the European Commission, was published in the Repeated Official Gazette dated 16 December 2024 and numbered 32754, with the approval of our President, and entered into force on 17 December 2024.
With the Agreement entering into force, it will be possible to finance projects and programs under the Year 2023 Programming of Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA III) covering the years 2021-27 through the funds to be transferred to our country by the European Commission.
With 2023 Financing Agreement, which has a total budget volume of 208.6 million Euros, projects and programs under the title of Union Programs and 6 different sectors, namely Fundamental Rights, Environment and Climate Change, Sustainable Transport, Agriculture, Energy and Employment, Education and Social Policies, will be implemented in the coming years.
