Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı participated in the EU Membership Process at Provinces 10: Şanlıurfa Event

Deputy Minister of  Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı met with the representatives of the public institutions, local authorities and civil society organizations in the event of “EU Membership Process at Provinces 10: Şanlıurfa” organised in cooperation with Şanlıurfa Governorate, on 23 June 2022.

In the event where Türkiye-EU relations and recent developments were discussed in detail, Deputy Minister Faruk Kaymakcı emphasized the importance and determination of the local actors in Türkiye’s EU membership process.

The event also provided information presentations on EU funding under the Erasmus+ Programme, European Solidarity Programme, Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) Funds, Rural Development Programme, Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme, College of Europe Scholarship Programme, and Union Programmes. Funding opportunities for institutions and organizations in Şanlıurfa were further highlighted.

Deputy Minister Ambassador Kaymakcı also attended the "Our EU Process and Opportunities for Turkish Youth" conference held at Harran  University and the Şanlıurfa Chamber of Commerce and  Industry’s meeting on "Our EU Membership Process, the European Green Deal and the Role of Our Business World".
