Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı participated in TÜBİTAK Horizon 2020 Green Deal Call International Networking Event
TÜBİTAK Horizon 2020 Green Deal Call International Networking Event hosted nearly 1000 representatives working in research and innovation parties from 36 different countries. Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs, Ministry of Industry and Technology, EU Delegation in Türkiye and the European Commission participated in the event.
The networking event aimed at promoting the relevant sectors to build project partnerships and apply to European Green Deal Call, which is the last and the biggest Horizon 2020 call with €1 billion budget. At the opening sessions of the meeting, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, TÜBİTAK Director Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, General Director of Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation Bülent Özcan, Deputy Director General of DG Research and Innovation at the European Commission Signe Ratso and and Minister Counsellor at the EU Delegation to Türkiye Elefteria Pertzinidou underlined the role of EU Programmes in implementing and improving EU policies, increasing the quality of life and cooperation and sectoral integration in Europe.
