Brief description of the project and main objectives
 

The project aims to improve conditions in removal centres for irregular migrants and those in need of international protection.

Achievements / expected outputs

The project will support the organized transfer of irregular migrants from the Aegean islands to Türkiye and the transfer of irregular migrants apprehended in Türkiye. The removal centres will also employ and train interpreters, psychologists, social workers, food engineers, and technical personnel. Finally, renewal and maintenance of removal centres will be carried out to ensure adequate housing conditions.
