Department of Union Programmes

The duties of the Department of Union Programmes are as follows:

a. To carry out the general coordination of participation in European Union Programmes and Agencies, and to negotiate the participation agreements with the European Commission within this framework.

b. To act as the secretariat of the Board of EU Programmes and Agencies.

c. To monitor and evaluate the implementation processes and overall performance of European Union Programmes and Agencies in which our country participates.

d. To take necessary measures to ensure that our country benefits more effectively and efficiently from European Union Programmes and Agencies, and to encourage and support implementing institutions in activities such as promotion, awareness-raising, and capacity building.

e. To participate in committees related to European Union Programmes (e.g., Program Committees), working groups, and other platforms established for the implementation of Programmes and Agencies (e.g., National Contact Points).

f. To ensure the necessary coordination and follow-up for the timely payment of annual contributions to the European Union Programmes and Agencies in which our country participates.

g. To act as the secretariat of the National Authority for the Erasmus+ Programme and the European Solidarity Corps, and to report periodically to the European Commission.
