EUROsimA 2023 Model European Union Conference was held with the participation of students from Türkiye and EU countries

EUROsimA 2023 Model European Union Conference, organized by METU Foreign Policy and International Relations Society and supported within the scope of the EU Communication Strategy within the framework of the 9 May Europe Day events, was held by between 28 April-1 May 2023.

During the conference, main themes for 2023 were “high politics, sustainability and rule of law", high school and university students aged 16-25 from Türkiye and the EU countries took active positions based on the principle of on " act a part " and " substitution" in the decision-making processes of the EU institutions.

At the opening ceremony of the conference held on April 28^th 2023, speeches were delivered by Director-General for Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation Bülent Özcan, Head of Political, Press and Information Section Stefano Fantaroni, Ambassador of Italy to Türkiye Giorgio Marrapodi, Advisor of METU Foreign Policy and International Relations Society Associate Prof. Zana Çıtak, and executive members of the METU Foreign Policy and International Relations Society.

Director-General for Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation Bülent Özcan assessed various aspects of Türkiye-EU relations and the future of EU.
