PROJECT SUMMARY

Brief description of the project and main objectives
 

This project supports Türkiye in its efforts towards accession by strengthening Türkiye’s administrative capacity for the implementation of the EU acquis.

 

The purpose of the project is to develop Türkiye’s human resources in EU acquis related areas through post-graduate studies in EU member countries. In this way, young professional’s perspective and perception of the European integration process is broadened and the bonds between young Turkish professionals and those of the EU is strengthened

Achievements / expected outputs

  • Training institutions relevant both to the needs of the scholars and to the objective of the scholarship programme identified. A good geographical dispersion of the scholarships in Europe achieved (For 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 academic years).
  • All award holders placed at their respective training institutions (For 2011-2012 academic years)
  • 100 young Turkish people (civil servants, private sector staff, university graduates, academicians and young NGO members) trained and all incorporated into the alumni network in order to maintain relations with each other after their return (For 2009-2010, 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 academic years)
  • Access to information for all potential candidates ensured, about the Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme (For 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 academic years).
  • A transparent and fair selection of scholarship holders (For 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 academic year).
