PROJECT SUMMARY

Brief description of the project and main objectives
 

This project tries to contribute to the functioning of the judicial system through strengthening the forensic capacity of the law enforcement agencies in Türkiye.

This project aims to adjust the forensic capacity of Turkish law enforcement authorities in line with EU standards by establishing model forensic laboratories in 4 regions to enable faster and superior services.

Adana, İzmir, Diyarbakır, Istanbul

Achievements / expected outputs

• Construction of three forensic laboratories in Adana, İzmir and Diyarbakır for Turkish National Police and one forensic laboratory in Istanbul for Turkish Gendarmerie will be completed.
• Law enforcement forensic capabilities will be expanded.
• Effectiveness, efficiency and quality of forensic services will be improved.
