Union Programmes Information Event was Held at TAI

An information event about the European Union Programs, hosted by Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc. (TAI) was held on 27-28 November 2023 at TAI Kahramankazan Campus with the participation of the Directorate for EU Affairs and relevant units from the coordinator institutions TÜBİTAK, KOSGEB and the Turkish National Agency.

Director General of TAI, Prof. Dr. Temel Kotil, stated that Turkish Aerospace Industry ranked 58th in the "Defense News Top 100", which is considered the most prestigious defense industry list in the world, but they aim to reach a much better point. He added that the opportunities provided by the EU, especially within the scope of the Union Programmes, are very important tools to achieve this goal and that the advantages to be gained from the projects, partnerships and networks in which TAI is involved are valuable.

After Kotil, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay stated in his speech that one of the most important dimensions of Türkiye-European Union relations is the Union programmes, these programs support the steps our country needs to take towards EU membership and all relevant stakeholders are encouraged to benefit from the programs.

At the event, calls that TUSAŞ could apply for within the scope of Horizon Europe, Erasmus+ and Single Market programmes were introduced and information was given about the application processes.
