Two seminars were held within the scope of the cooperation with EIPA Luxembourg

Within the framework of the cooperation with European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) in Luxembourg, which has been ongoing since 2010, two seminars were organized at the Directorate for EU Affairs on the legal and institutional structure of the EU and the EU's Global Gateway Strategy, with the participation of representatives from relevant public institutions on 28 September- 1 October 2026.

Daniel Da Cruz, Luxembourg's Ambassador to Ankara and Elif Kurşunlu, Director General for Relations with the EU, attended the opening ceremony of the seminars on 28 September and delivered speeches emphasizing the importance of the long-term cooperation established with EIPA and the activities carried out within this framework.

In the first seminar, entitled "EU Legal, Institutional and Policy Affairs," held between 28-30 September 2026, the main issues regarding the EU's legal and institutional structure, decision-making mechanisms and the EU accession process were shared with the participants.

The seminar entitled “The EU Global Gateway: Opportunities for EU-Turkey Cooperation in Environment, Climate and Health” held on 30 September-October 1 2026, addressed the connection between the Global Gateway Strategy and other mechanisms such as the EU Green Deal, the opportunities offered by Global Gateway and the recent developments in European health policy.

Additionally, a reception was held in honor of all participants, at the Embassy Residence on 30 September, hosted by Ambassador Da Cruz and attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs, Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay. In his speech at the reception, Ambassador Bozay expressed his gratitude to the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign Affairs, EIPA officials, and Ambassador Da Cruz for their support of the aforementioned seminars.
