Mediteranean and Black Sea Basin Cross - border Cooperation Programmes 2021-2027 Programming Period meetings were held in Brussels

The Annual Event of ENI (European Neighbourhood Instrument) CBC Programmes, Joint Programming Committee of Interreg 2021-2027 Black Sea Cross - border Cooperation Programme and Interreg NEXT Mediteranean Sea Basin Programme  2021-2027 Programming Period meetings were held on 28-29 January 2020 in Brussels.

Head of Department of Union Programmes and Cross-border Cooperation Programmes Şebnem Sözer participated in the meetings with EU Affairs Experts Semiha Öztürk, Serkan Bozkurt and Övünç Güneş.

In the Annual Event of ENI Cross-border Cooperation Programmes, workshop sessions regarding preparations of Interreg NEXT programme, setting up a performance framework, geographical cluster discussion and preparing financing agreement for of Black Sea Basin and Mediterranean Sea Basin were held.  During the event the steps to be taken for participation of Tukey in the ENI Cross-border Programmes to be carried out in 2021-2027 period were discussed.

In the Joint Programming Committee Meeting of Interreg 2021-2027 Black Sea Cross - border Cooperation Programme, the Committee members approved the Rules of Procedures of the Joint Programming Committee and the continuity of the Managing Authority for 2021-2027 period of the Programme. Representatives from the European Commission and from the Programme countries namely Armenia, Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Moldova, Romania, Ukraine and Türkiye attended the meeting.

The preparatory meeting of ENI Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme which is expected to be called as Interreg NEXT Mediteranean Sea Basin Programme was covered the structure and purposes of the Programme and the steps to be taken for preparation period were identified.
