PROJECT SUMMARY |

Brief description of the project and main objectives |
The primary objective of the project is to strengthen the capacity of local authorities in Türkiye to address climate change. This involves developing and implementing Local Climate Change Action Plans (LCCAPs), improving local governance frameworks, and providing technical and financial support to enhance resilience and adaptation at the municipal level. |

Outputs: Development of tools for Green House Gas inventories, risk assessments, and climate action planning. Training and capacity-building programs for municipalities and stakeholders. Implementation of grant programs to support local climate initiatives. Preparation of pilot LCCAPs for selected cities.
Results: Increased number of municipalities with actionable LCCAPs. Enhanced resilience of urban areas to climate-related impacts. Strengthened coordination and participation of local stakeholders in climate action. Alignment of local climate actions with national and international climate goals. |
