Brief description of the project and main objectives
 

The project aims to ensure the integrity and establishment of competitive organic supply value chains by strengthening the organic agriculture system towards a more sustainable and climate resilient food system in the scope of the European Green Deal.

Achievements / expected outputs

1. Framework for organic agriculture in Türkiye updated and strengthened in terms of legislative alignment with EU rules, certification and control system, including storage, processing and marketing.

2. Technical capacity of the key stakeholders in supply chain from farming to retail for a sustainable organic agriculture system increased.

3. Awareness on economic and environmental benefits of organic agriculture raised and pilot projects on benefits of holistic approach combining production and processing in short supply chain demonstrated.
