Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay attended the signing ceremony of the projects financed with the support provided by the EU following the 2023 Kahramanmaraş Earthquakes
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay attended the signing ceremony of the “Improving Lives of Children through Enhancing Responsive Child Protection Services and Support in Emergencies” and “Restoring and Strengthening the Preventive and Protective Services in Response to Violence Against Women and Girls Affected by the Earthquakes in Türkiye” Projects, held on February 24, 2025 in Ankara. These projects are financed by the EU following the 2023 Kahramanmaraş Earthquakes.
Under the IPA Fundamental Rights Sector, in which our Directorate is the lead institution, and with the Ministry of Family and Social Services and the Union of Turkish Bar Associations as beneficiaries, the capacity of social services provided to women and children in the earthquake-affected regions and in provinces receiving migrants after the earthquakes will be enhanced with a total budget of 28 million euros.
