Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay Attended Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme Certificate Ceremony
The networking event and certificate ceremony for scholars who completed their education in the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 academic years within the scope of the Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme, one of Türkiye’s most rooted and prestigious projects financed by the European Union (EU) for 34 years, was held with the participation of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay, on 2 February 2024 in Ankara.
During the networking event, scholars enjoyed activities and had the opportunity to get to know each other more closely.
In addition to the scholars of the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 academic years, the certificate ceremony was attended by Ambassadors of EU member states; representatives of the Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye, Directorate for European Union Affairs, Central Finance and Contracts Unit, and representatives of stakeholder institutions.
The ceremony started with the opening speeches of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay, Head of Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye, Ambassador Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut and the Acting Director of Central Finance and Contracts Unit Barbaros Murat Köse.
Following the opening speeches, the "Experience Sharing" panel was organized, where scholars shared their experiences in Europe, their achievements, and the cultural differences they encountered. Subsequently, certificates were presented to the scholars.
