Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı attended the 13th Bosphorus Summit
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı attended the Bosphorus Summit held in Istanbul on 10-11 November 2022. The Summit is organized by the International Cooperation Platform under the theme "The Great Transformation: Driving Forces of Global Change". Over 100 speakers and participants from 47 countries came together.
Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı delivered the opening speech at the "Security Dilemmas of EU Candidates: Western Balkans" session of the summit. He touched upon the security problems faced by the EU candidate Balkan countries and EU's enlargement policy towards the Balkans. He emphasised that the future of the region is within the EU and the Union is not complete without the Balkans, including Türkiye.
