Certificate Ceremony of the Directorate for EU Affairs 2023 Young Translators Contest

YOUNG TRANSLATORS ARE IN ANKARA FOR THEIR AWARD CEREMONY

The twelfth Young Translators Contest was held on 25 November 2023 by the Directorate for EU Affairs in Istanbul. Successful contestants will be awarded their certificates in a ceremony to be organized at our Directorate on 16 April 2024, at 2:00 p.m. The contest aims to increase awareness regarding the European Union (EU) accession process and contribute to the training of translators in this field.

A total of 125 students from 41 universities took part in the Contest and translated an EU text into Turkish from English, French and German.

The first place winners will participate in a study visit to the EU institutions in Brussels, Belgium. The second and third place winners will attend the “Basic Training Course on the European Union” held by the Ankara University, European Union Research and Application Center (ATAUM).
