Certificate Ceremony of 2017 Young Translators Contest was held in Ankara
2017 YOUNG TRANSLATORS CONTEST
Certificate Ceremony of the Ministry for EU Affairs 2017 Young Translators Contest was held in Ankara on 9 May 2017.
The successful contesters participated in the award ceremony held in Ankara. Young Translators Contest is held to raise awareness among university students studying translation and interpretation regarding Türkiye’s EU accession process and to promote the development of qualified human resources in this area.
This year 123 students from 35 universities participated in the Contest. 12 successful contesters received the certificates of achievement and certificates of encouragement from Ambassador Selim YENEL, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry for EU Affairs.
Successful contesters will also be awarded with a study visit to the translation departments of the European Commission, European Council and the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium on 11-13 June 2017.
