Black Sea Basin Programme Promotion and Information Event Held In İstanbul

The first call for proposals under Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Program was published on 30 March 2023. Within the scope of the call, which will remain open until July 4, a promotional event was organized in İstanbul on May 11th, 2023 by Directorate for EU Affairs, which is the National Authority of the Programme in Türkiye, toward potential beneficiaries of the Programme.

The event, attended by representatives from municipalities, universities, governorships and non-governmental organizations from 25 provinces in the program area, started with the opening speech of S. Bülent Özcan, Director General of Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation of the EU Affairs Directorate. Mr.Özcan , attending the event online emphasized the importance of developing projects  from programme area ensuring utilization of funds by our country within the scope of the 1st call as well as the importance of sinergy and compementarity with other EU programmes implemented in Türkiye. The event continued with the presentations on the outline of Black Sea Basin Programme ,requirements of the first call for proposals, the grant application package and the application process in the Joint Electronic Monitoring-System (JEMS) .It ended after the experience sharing session about the REDACTproject implemented by Gebze Technical University.
