The Second Meeting of Türkiye-EU High Level Energy Dialogue was Held in Istanbul

To further enhance Türkiye-EU cooperation for securing and diversifying energy supplies and for ensuring competitive energy markets, Türkiye-EU High Level Energy Dialogue had been launched on 16 March 2015. 

The second Ministerial Level meeting was held in İstanbul on 28 January 2016 with the participation of H.E. Berat Albayrak, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources and H.E. Miguel Arias Canete, Commissioner responsible for Climate Action and Energy. The main agenda items of the meeting, to which our Ministry also participated with high level representatives, were the issues such as Türkiye and EU energy policy priorities, electricity and gas connections, energy efficiency, cooperation on renewable energy and nuclear energy, and the opening of Energy Chapter to negotiations.
