Civil Society Dialogue Meeting on “EU Accession Process and Türkiye’s New EU Strategy” held in Bursa

The Ministry for EU Affairs hosted a Civil Society Dialogue Meeting on “EU Accession Process and Türkiye’s New EU Strategy” on 22 April 2015 in Bursa, with the participation of around 1500 representatives from non-governmental organizations, local administrations, the business world and academia in Bursa.

After expressing his thoughts on Türkiye’s New EU Communication Strategy and negotiation process, Minister Bozkır exchanged views with the participants in a friendly atmosphere in the meeting.

Moreover, regarding the funding of the projects to be carried out within the framework of Türkiye’s New EU Communication Strategy, presentations were made for the participants on financial assistance to be provided to NGOs within the scope of Erasmus+ Programme and EU Pre-Accession Assistance.

The first dialogue meeting with the understanding of “a stronger civil society and stronger Türkiye” was held on 26 November 2014 in Istanbul. Consecutive meetings were organised on 19 February 2015 in Izmir, on 18 March 2015 in Konya and on 24 March 2015 in Adana. More than 8000 representatives from hundreds of non-governmental organisations participated in these meetings.
