Civil Society Meeting on “Türkiye’s New EU Strategy” was held in Izmir

On February 2015, Ministry for EU Affairs held the meeting on “Türkiye’s New EU Strategy”, with the participation of NGOs, local administrations, and representatives from business world and academia in Izmir.

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır shared his thoughts on Türkiye’s New EU Communication Strategy and negotiation process, and exchanged views with the participants in a friendly atmosphere in the meeting.

Moreover, regarding the funding of the projects to be carried out within the frame of Türkiye’s New EU Communication Strategy, presentations on financial assistance to be provided to NGOs within the scope of Erasmus+Programme and EU Pre-Accession Assistance were made in the meeting.

With the participation of more than 2,000 representatives from nearly 400 non-governmental organizations, the Ministry for EU Affairs held its first Dialogue with NGOs Meetings on 26 November 2014 in Istanbul, organized with reference to the understanding “a stronger civil society and stronger Türkiye”.
