Opening Conference of the Technical Assistance for Result-Oriented Monitoring in Türkiye – Phase IV Project was held in Ankara
The Opening Conference of the "Technical Assistance for Result-Oriented Monitoring in Türkiye – Phase IV" (ROM Türkiye) Project, implemented under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) to support Türkiye’s European Union accession process, took place in Ankara on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

The event was attended by Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs; Barbaros Murat Köse, Head of the Central Finance and Contracts Unit; and Maria Luisa Wyganowski, Head of Cooperation of the EU Delegation to Türkiye; along with representatives from relevant Turkish and EU institutions and stakeholders.
In his opening remarks, Ambassador Bozay emphasized that the IPA has long been the primary instrument utilized effectively within the framework of Türkiye-EU cooperation. He noted that between 2002 and 2020, approximately 900 projects were implemented with a total support of 9.2 billion euros. Building on these achievements, it was underlined that cooperation will continue in a stable and constructive manner toward common goals during the new IPA period covering 2021–2027.
