The Closing Event of “Technical Assistance for Assessment of Türkiye's Potential on Transition to Circular Economy (DEEP)” was held
The closing event of the "Technical Assistance for Assessment of Türkiye's Potential on Transition to Circular Economy (DEEP)” project financed under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) 2014-2020 period Environment and Climate Action Sector Operational Programme was held on February 11, 2025 in Ankara.
The opening speeches were delivered by Fatma Varank, Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs, and Ambassador Thomas Hans Ossowski, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye.
Within the scope of the project, Türkiye’s transition to a circular economy was thoroughly analysed with significant studies conducted on waste management, resource efficiency, and sustainable production. At the closing event, project outputs were shared and National Circular Economy Strategy and Action Plan was introduced.
