OUR DIRECTORATE SHARED CROSS-BORDER COOPERATION EXPERIENCES WIH UKRAINIAN DELEGATION

Our Directorate, which is the National Authority of the Cross-border Cooperation Programmes in which Türkiye participates in, conveyed its experiences on Cross-border Cooperation Programmes to Ukraine, which was granted candidate country status for European Union membership in 2022. Representatives of National Authorities from Türkiye and Ukraine, which have been involved in the Black Sea Basin Cross-border Cooperation Programme since 2007-2013 period, met in an online meeting held under the coordination of TESIM, which provides technical support for Cross-border Cooperation Programmes under the European Neighbourhood Policy.

At the meeting, Ukrainian National Authority officials were informed by representatives from Cross-border Cooperation Department of our Directorate and were exchanged views about management structure of the Cross-border Cooperation Programmes in our Directorate and in Türkiye, in which we have participated in since 2004.
