2023 European Innovation Scoreboard and the Regional Innovation Scoreboard have been published

European Innovation Scoreboard Report, published annually by the EU Commission, is a comparable assessment of the research and innovation performance of EU member and candidate countries, other European countries and global competitors.

According to the report, Sweden, which has been the first in the innovation performance ranking among EU member states for the last few years, has been replaced by Denmark this year. This country was followed by Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands and Belgium.

Along with this year's report, the biannual Regional Innovation Scoreboard has also been published. At the regional level, innovation performance has improved in 211 out of a total of 239 regions since 2016.
