PROJECT SUMMARY

Brief description of the project and main objectives
 

The main objective of the project is to increase the necessary infrastructure capacity in the field of health technologies, which is the sector with the second highest current account deficit in Turkey after energy, to support the R&D and P&D studies of our entrepreneurs and SMEs working in the fields of medical devices and biotechnological products, and to reduce our external dependency.

Achievements / expected outputs

  • Improving the capacity and technical infrastructure of the Clean Room Unit, Test Analysis Unit, and the experimental animal (Vivarium) Unit, which are the 3 basic units that make up the BULifeSci center, with analysis and imaging devices, special animal housing cages and clean room cabinets.
  • Needs analysis, sector diagnosis studies, business plan and development of headquarters strategies in order to strengthen the existing infrastructure of the BULifeSci center
  • Carrying out promotional activities
  • Providing research-oriented training for entrepreneurs and SMEs in the field of bio-technology
