Promotional Event on Cross-border Cooperation Programmes Conducted Online with the Participation of Governorships and Foreign Missions
An online promotional event concerning the 2021-2027 period of cross-border cooperation programmes already implemented in Türkiye and the one which will be implemented in 2021-2027 period was conducted on 20th of June, 2022. The event started with the opening speeches of H.E. Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. Representatives from the governorships of 43 provinces included in the programme areas and EU Project Offices under these governorships, as well as representatives from Turkey’s foreign missions at the countries participating in our cross-border programmes also participated in the event.
During the event, information on the “Interreg Bulgaria-Turkey Cross-border Programme”, “Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme”, and the upcoming “Interreg NEXT Mediterranean Basin Programme” was shared. In this regard, contributions of our governorships and foreign missions were requested for increasing the participation of local potential beneficiaries to the calls for proposals to be announced by late 2022 and early 2023, as well as assisting them in finding project partners from participating countries.
The promotional activities for cross-border programmes will continue with events and project preparation trainings to be conducted in Trabzon, Samsun, İzmir, Antalya and Adana.
