Brief description of the project and main objectives |
The main objective is the proper protection of the future external borders of the EU through a modernised Turkish Customs Administration (TCA) to ensure that it is in a position to fulfil the tasks and obligations of an EU Member State Customs Administration. More specifically, the project aims to strengthen the customs surveillance and control function of the TCA throughout the Turkish customs territory by increasing its patrolling, searching, and intervention capacity in order to deal with both intended and committed offences more promptly and efficiently. |
