Brief description of the project and main objectives
 

The main objective is achievement of efficient and effective public service and transparent and sound financial management of public funds in order to achieve more effective and impactful strategic planning by central public administrations.

• Current status of strategic management practice in Turkish public administration assessed and policy recommendations developed.
• Capacity of the central guiding and coordinating institutions (main beneficiary and co-beneficiaries) improved.
• Strategic management capacity (with the focus on strategic planning) of central public institutions enhanced.
• Monitoring and evaluation system for strategic planning established.
