PROJECT SUMMARY

Brief description of the project and main objectives
 

Project aims to contribute to the prevention of major accidents caused by hazardous materials and to limit their consequences for humans and the environment, to build more capacity and to strengthen the institutional structure as well as a high level of protection.

The aim is to strengthen the administrative and institutional capacity of central and local bodies that are responsible for future implementation of the Seveso II Directive in Türkiye.

• Raising awareness on the requirements for the implementation of the Seveso Directive among all relevant stakeholders, especially industry, local authorities, NGOs and designated competent authorities.
