PROJECT SUMMARY

Brief description of the project and main objectives
 

The aim of the project is to develop strategies and measures to prevent or primarily reduce harmful effects, including disturbance due to exposure to environmental noise, and to contribute to national capacity building in Türkiye within the framework of EU Directive 2002/49/EC on the assessment and management of environmental noise. (END).

Muğla, Antalya, Nevşehir, İzmir-Aliağa, Eskişehir, Adana, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Samsun and Edirne

Achievements / expected outputs

• Raising awareness on the requirements for the implementation and enforcement of the END among all relevant stakeholders, especially designated competent authorities, consultants and NGOs.
• Adaptation of existing institutional, financial and legal conditions to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the Environmental Noise Directive in Türkiye.
