PROJECT SUMMARY

Brief description of the project and main objectives
 

The project aims to prepare an effective and sustainable voluntary return program to reduce the pressure of irregular migration throughout Türkiye and support the return of vulnerable migrants to their countries of origin. In this context, a direct grant contract was signed with the International Organization for Migration.

The project further aims to:

- To provide voluntary return support to at least 6300 irregular migrants who wish to return to their country,

- To provide reintegration assistance to 500 vulnerable migrants among the returnees through the offices of the International Organization for Migration in Asia, Africa, and other countries,

- To collect and analyse data on irregular migration flows and trends,

- To strengthen national and international cooperation between non-governmental organizations and state institutions in countries of origin and transit countries.
