PROJECT SUMMARY |

Brief description of the project and main objectives |
The project was inspired by the Civil Society Dialogue Grant Programs (CSD I, II, III, IV) carried out by the Directorate for EU Affairs since 2008 and the Cultural Bridges Grant Programs carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs between 2009 and 2010, as a result of increasing importance of intercultural dialogue today. |

Achievements / expected outputs |
The technical support component, which covers the 1 Million Euro part of the project, will be used in the field of enhancing the institutional capacity of Yunus Emre Institute on the intercultural dialogue. The grant component, featuring the 2-Million-Euro of the project, is devoted to grant projects will be realized with the partners of European Cultural Institutes in Türkiye. Grant projects with intense cultural change within the framework of collaborative activities, aims to establish an effective network between the EU and cultural institutions in Türkiye. The 4 projects, which started to be implemented as of February 2019 and consist of many cultural activities in the fields of literature, archaeology, cinema, poetry, history and music, will explain the interaction created by the synthesis of different cultures and geographies in various ways. Projects will contribute to development and implementation of long-lasting, multilateral/multinational joint cultural initiatives between Türkiye and increasing the visibility of the civil society dialogue between the EU and Türkiye in EU member states. |
