Description of the Action:

Implemented by the Ministry for EU Affairs since 2008, Civil Society Dialogue is a programme bringing together civil society organisations from Türkiye and the EU around common topics, to exchange knowledge and experience, and to build a sustained conversation between the organisations.

CSD-III consists of two main grant components, Political Criteria and Media, and funded by the EU through a resource amounting to 9 million Euros.

The main aims of the “political criteria” component is to give civil society organizations (CSOs) in Türkiye the opportunity of getting familiar with the policies of the EU concerning political criteria both in terms of their legislation and implementation, and being prepared for accession through strengthening the contacts and mutual exchange of experience between relevant civil society actors in the Member States and Türkiye.

The “media” component aims to strengthen the capacity of actors in the media sector and establish a sustainable dialogue between relevant actors in Türkiye and the EU.

39 projects under the political criteria grant scheme and 16 projects under the media grant scheme are funded within the third phase of the programme.
