Türkiye Signed Long-Term Agreement With The European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E)
Türkiye makes significant progress in alignment related to the electricity sector, which is one of the most important elements of the EU’s energy acquis. The Long-Term Agreement which will form the legal basis for permanent operation of Türkiye’s electricity system with the Continental Europe electricity grid is signed between TEIAS and ENTSO-E as of April 15th, 2015.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of high level representatives of the Deputy Permanent Delegation of Türkiye to the EU, Ministry for Energy and Natural Resources, EU Institutions and the Energy Community. This agreement is an important step towards the full integration to the EU electricity market.
