The fifth meeting of the Türkiye–EU High-Level Economic Dialogue (HLED) was held

The fifth meeting of the Türkiye–EU High-Level Economic Dialogue (HLED) was held in İstanbul on 2 July 2026.

The meeting was co-chaired by H.E. Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Treasury and Finance of the Republic of Türkiye, on behalf of Türkiye, and Valdis Dombrovskis, European Commissioner for Economy and Productivity, on behalf of the European Commission.

Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay, Deputy Minister and Director for EU Affairs and Elif Kurşunlu, Director General for Relations with the European Union also participated in the meeting.

The morning sessions featured the ministerial dialogue and a meeting with international financial institutions, while the afternoon session was dedicated to the business dialogue.
