PROJECT SUMMARY |

Brief description of the project and main objectives |
The primary objective of the project is to establish a holistic approach to the European Green Deal (EGD) policies by enhancing the institutional capacity of public and private stakeholders, guiding Türkiye's green transition and facilitating the adaptation process within selected sectors. This includes helping Türkiye align its policies with evolving EU legislation, especially under the SPI and CBAM and promoting sustainable industrial development within the framework of the EU Customs Union. |

Achievements / expected outputs / results |
Implementation of Türkiye’s Green Deal Action Plan is promoted in alignment with EU’s CBAM and SPI requirements. The expected outputs are; Strengthened institutional capacity for policy-making and action plan development for green transition. Sectoral workshops and guidelines to support industries in understanding and implementing new requirements. A web-based platform to consolidate information on EGD and Turkish legislation. Sectoral mapping exercises to identify steps needed in various sectors to align with green transition requirements. Increased capacity of public and private actors (e.g. SMEs) via training, strategic planning, and funding guidance. Establishment of expert pools and organization of targeted training sessions. |
