Financing Agreement for the 2024 Annual Action Programme for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) for Türkiye Enters into Force

“The Financing Agreement on the Annual Action Programme for Türkiye for the  Year 2024” signed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs, H.E. Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay, on behalf of our country, and by the Director for the Eastern Neighborhood and Türkiye, Adrienn Kiraly, on behalf of the European Commission, was published in the Official Gazette dated 19 December 2025 (No.33112), upon the approval of our President, and entered into force on 22 December 2025.

With the Agreement entering into force, it will be possible to finance projects and programs under the Year 2024 Programming of Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA III) covering the years 2021-27 through the funds to be transferred to our country by the European Commission.

With 2024 Financing Agreement, which has a total budget volume of 366 million Euros, projects and programs under the title of Union Programs and 7 different sectors; namely Fundamental Rights, Home Affairs-Organised Crime, Alignment with the Acquis and Good Governance, Environment and Climate Change, Energy, Competitiveness and Employment, Education and Social Policies will be implemented in the coming years.
