Brief description of the project and main objectives |
The primary objective of the project is to enhance Türkiye's capacity to access and utilize public and private climate finance effectively. This includes addressing barriers to climate investment, increasing awareness, and equipping institutions with tools to secure and manage climate-related funds. |

Achievements / expected outputs / results |
Outputs: Identification of barriers and gaps in accessing climate finance. Development of financial tools, strategies, and incentives to attract climate investments. Organization of training sessions and workshops to build institutional and stakeholder capacity. Creation of a pilot implementation of a climate fund and development of green project pipelines.
Results: Improved institutional capacity to secure and manage climate finance. Enhanced readiness of stakeholders to utilize existing, new and alternative funding sources. Development of innovative financing mechanisms, such as green bonds and blended finance approaches. Strengthened collaboration between public and private sectors to support climate-friendly investments. |
