PROJECT SUMMARY |

Brief description of the project and main objectives |
The primary objective of the project is to establish a National Stocktake System (NSS) in Türkiye to collect and organize data related to the country’s climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts. This system will ensure that Türkiye can effectively monitor, report, and contribute to global climate change goals, including those under the Paris Agreement. |

Outputs: Creation of a comprehensive NSS compatible with global standards under the Paris Agreement. Legislative gap analysis and needs assessment. Development of guidelines, roadmaps, and a functional database for national-level climate data. Organization of trainings, workshops, sectoral meetings, and study visits.
Results: Enhanced coordination and integration of climate-related activities in Türkiye. Improved ability to assess progress towards national and global climate goals. Centralized and organized data to inform effective policy making and international reporting. |
