Dutch Embassy Hosts Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme Alumni
Within the scope of the 100th anniversary of Türkiye-Netherlands Friendship, a reception for Jean Monnet graduates who completed their studies in the Netherlands was held on November 22, 2024, at the Dutch Embassy, with the participation of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs, Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay.
The event began with opening speeches by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Ankara, Joep Wijnands, the Head of the EU Delegation to Turkey, Ambassador Thomas Hans Ossowski, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs, Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay.
In his speech, Deputy Minister Ambassador Bozay emphasized the relations between the two countries and the contribution of Jean Monnet scholars to these relations.
The reception continued with a panel titled "Two Cultures, One Dialogue: Alumni Reflections on Dutch-Turkish Educational and Cultural Enrichment," with the participation of Jean Monnet alumni. After the panel, guests had the opportunity to engage in conversation while enjoying music.
