EUROsimA 2024 Model European Union Conference was held with the participation of students from Türkiye and EU countries
EUROsimA 2024 Model European Union Conference, organized by METU Foreign Policy and International Relations Society and supported within the scope of the EU Communication Strategy within the framework of the 9 May Europe Day events, was held by between 20-23 April 2024.
During the conference, high school and university students aged 16-25 from Türkiye and the EU countries took active positions based on the principle of on " act a part " and " substitution" in the decision-making processes of the EU institutions.
At the opening ceremony of the conference held on April 20th, speeches were delivered by Deputy Director General for Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation of Serdar Öztürk, Head of Unit at Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Founder of Eurosima Derviş Fikret Ünal, Advisor of METU Foreign Policy and International Relations Society Associate Prof. Zana Çıtak, and executive members of the METU Foreign Policy and International Relations Society.
Deputy Director General for Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation of Serdar Öztürk analysed different aspects of Türkiye-EU relations, EU enlargement process and the future of the EU.
