Strategy Board of Theme "A Europe Closer to its Citizens" Met in Vienna for Capacity Building Training

A workshop for capacity building was organized for members of the Strategy Board, which was established to support the activities under "a Europe Closer to its Citizens" theme, one of the priorities of the Bulgaria-Türkiye Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2021-2027 period.

During the workshop, the trainers of the Interact affiliated with the European Union, which was established to provide technical support to the Interreg Programmes carried out under the European Regional Cooperation Policy, delivered various presentations to shed light into the Strategy Board activities. The Strategy Board, established by the participation of important stakeholders from the Edirne and Kırklareli provinces, is responsible for the selection, monitoring and approval of the projects to be implemented within the scope of the recent call for project ideas announced in May 2023 and other calls to be announced in the upcoming period.

The training took place with the participation of the Programme's Strategy Board members, experts working for the Bulgaria-Türkiye Cross-border Programme, and the members of the Operational Unit, established to support the duties of the Strategy Board. The subjects discussed during the training include the evaluation and selection of projects under  "a Europe closer to citizens" priority and communication measures, as well as the monitoring and evaluation of the Regional Strategy prepared within the scope of this priorty and the measures for improving the implementation process in light of the experiences gained in the current call for proposals.
