5th Strategy Board Meeting of 2021-2027 Period of Bulgaria-Türkiye Cross-border Cooperation Programme Held Online

Fifth meeting of the Strategy Board, established to implement activities related to "a Europe closer to its citizens" priority of 2021-2027 period of the Interreg Bulgaria-Türkiye Cross-border Cooperation Programme, was held online.

The opening of the meeting was conducted by the co-chairs of the Strategy Board, Stefka Ivanova, Deputy Mayor of Karnobat Municipality, and Sıdkı Zehin, Deputy Governor of Edirne.

During the meeting, the list of concept notes that were selected and planned to be funded within the scope of the call for project ideas announced on 22 May 2023 with the theme of "achieving sustainable and inclusive economic growth based on increased competitiveness of the local economy, digital and green transformation" was discussed and approved. During the selection phase of the project ideas submitted under the call for proposals, the contribution of the projects to the Integrated Territorial Strategy was taken into account.

In the upcoming period, a restricted call for proposals will be announced in which detailed projects will be submitted based on the project ideas that have been decided to be funded, and a grant contract will be signed with the projects within the scope of this call that meet the necessary conditions.
