The Opening Meeting of the ''Technical Assistance to Enhance the Capacity of AFAD in the Adaptation and Reduction of Disaster Risks Resulting from the Climate Change in Türkiye'' Project Was Held
The opening meeting of the “Technical Assistance to Enhance the Capacity of AFAD in the Adaptation and Reduction of Disaster Risks Resulting from the Climate Change in Türkiye” project financed under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) 2014-2020 period Environment and Climate Action Sector Operational Programme was held with the participation of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı, on May 30, 2022 in Ankara.
In his opening speech, Deputy Minister Ambassador Kaymakcı emphasized the importance of increasing the local capacity and public awareness to manage and adapt to disasters induced by climate change.
The event in which Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı and Deputy Minister of Interior İsmail Çataklı made opening speeches, ended with a panel session.
