The “Strengthening of an Integrated Strategic Approach to Increase Efficiency and Productivity of IPA Funds during the third period (2021-2027)” Project Launches!

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for European Union (EU) Affairs, Ambassador Faruk KAYMAKCI will be hosting the Opening Conference of the project “Strengthening of an Integrated Strategic Approach to Increase Efficiency and Productivity of IPA Funds during the third period (2021-2027)” financed by the European Union under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA), on 7 July 2021 at 10:00 at Bilkent Hotel and Conference Center, Ankara.

The event will be held both live in-person and online with the participation of Head of the EU Delegation to Türkiye Ambassador Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut and the Director-General of Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation Bülent Özcan alongside Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for European Union (EU) Affairs, Ambassador Faruk KAYMAKCI.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs, Ambassador Faruk KAYMAKCI appraised the project “Strengthening of an Integrated Strategic Approach to Increase Efficiency and Productivity of IPA Funds during the third period (2021-2027)” and the new period of IPA, by stating that, “Despite the occasional ups-and-downs in our relationship with the EU, the financial cooperation with the Union has been going strong without interruptions for almost 20 years and that in the third period they will be indefatigably  working towards strengthening this partnership that has touched the lives of people from every walk of life.”.

The Conference, will bring together the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European Union Delegation to Türkiye, diplomatic missions of member states of the EU to Türkiye, public institutions responsible for management and control of IPA funds in Türkiye, IPA Beneficiaries, other stakeholders from public and civil society sectors and media representatives.

Following the opening remarks, panels and presentations introducing the IPA III period and two workshops will be held on “Programming of 2021-2022 financing years of IPA III” and “Project Implementation and Tendering Preparations”. 

With this project, administrative and technical capacities of Turkish public institutions responsible for the coordination, management and control of IPA funds will be strenghtened!

The project “Strengthening of an Integrated Strategic Approach to Increase Efficiency and Productivity of IPA Funds during the third period (2021-2027)” is implemented by the Directorate of EU Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is financed by the European Union.  This project will further reinforce the administrative and technical capacity of the National IPA Coordinator (NIPAC) Office and other relevant institutions, for overall coordination of the strategic planning and programming, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of IPA programme.
