Stating that irregular migration will rise due to the negative impact of the pandemic, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı added that it would be more useful to create new politics on irregular migration between Türkiye and the EU before it becomes late.
Emphasizing that Germany's EU Presidency might be regarded as an opportunity for Türkiye, the EU and Germany, Deputy Minister Ambassador Kaymakcı added that starting to update the Customs Union could also be an opportunity in the context of recovery in Europe.
