2020 YOUNG TRANSLATORS CONTEST

The 10^th “Young Translators Contest” will be held by the Directorate for European Union Affairs on 11 January 2020 in İstanbul. The Contest aims to raise awareness regarding Türkiye’s EU accession process and acquis translation among the students studying translation and interpretation in Turkish universities, as well as to contribute to the training in this field.

Final year undergraduate students are eligible to participate in this Contest, in which they are expected to translate an EU text from one of the three working languages of the European Union (English, French and German) into Turkish.

The winners of this Contest will be awarded with a certificate of success and the students ranking the first in each language category will have the chance to visit the European Union institutions in Brussels.
